And that's perfectly okay because you are not going to please everyone but as my grandma used to say, "There's a Jack for every Jenny" and the ones who resonate with you will give you their attention.
Another beautiful thing about using social media is that there are over 1BIL people using it so you will never have a shortage of people to attract.
Now this next important factor for successful online prospecting is..............
Your communication. Are you conveying a clear consistent professional message? And when you reach out to potential prospects are you listening to them? If you begin having a communication with someone online and you are just ramming your product or service down their throat without having a solid dialogue with them, then you are missing out entirely.
You've got to make people feel as if you understand their problem or can relate. It only takes a few exchanges back and forth to establish rapport and it's all in the way you do it.
