When I decided to get serious about internet marketing, I
wanted to make sure I had all of the tools in place to give it my best shot to
succeed.
I began learning everything that I could about blogging,
affiliate marketing, keywords, etc. when I started building my sites to make
sure everything was in place.
My internet gurus stress writing and blogging. They said to
find relevant topics and blog about them, so I took a trip to the library and I
came across allot of helpful topics, but one in particular stuck out in my head….
It is the inner game
of selling, which pretty much boils down to
how you feel about yourself determines the success you will have in
selling, or in any profession ,and life for that matter.
I read that having an understanding of oneself is key….
What you think you can accomplish and what you feel that you are worthy to accomplish is based
upon deep rooted beliefs that you unconsciously hold as “truth” about
yourself…..Wow!
It has been said that 15% of selling is knowledge, skill or
other intellectual factor, while the other 85% comes from deep within your
psyche. It is tied to what you believe about yourself, your self –esteem
and self-worth. So how we believe and
feel about ourselves, has a lot to do with the goals we set and whether or not
we succeed or fail. Our actions and behaviors generally back up these core
beliefs.
With this in my, I have decided to embark on a journey of
self-awareness in order to understand how to overcome any fear of success that I may have.
I’m ready for satisfaction in my internet career and in my life in general.
As I read further about this, I discovered a 5 step breakthrough process to help you
expand your core beliefs in order to reach higher levels of success:
1.
Become aware of your current behaviors.
2.
Notice the attitudes or feelings that seem to
influence these behaviors.
3.
Attempt to connect these feelings and behavior
with the unconscious belief that might be driving them.
4.
Select the beliefs that you’d like to have
embedded within your psyche and make daily affirmations of them to change your
core belief about yourself. For example:
“I chose to take control of my success, to
create increased value for people that work with me and enjoy higher level of rewards because of
this”
5.
Have the courage to go through change, ambiguity
or conflict that comes as you grow and develop your new core beliefs.
This is just a brief summary of the process needed to overcome
this so I will be delving further into this topic over the next few weeks.
